Sefton Jazz Orchestra is a dynamic group for the developing jazz musician. Its increasing repertoire ranges from the big band standards of the 1940s right up to the present day with compositions from artists like Gordon Goodwin. Although lots of the music is instrumental we regularly invite guest vocalists to perform with us at concerts. Each year the band performs at the Southport Jazz Festival and have recently featured in Liverpool’s Hope Street festival. If you have an interest in jazz and developing your improvisation, you would be very welcome to attend on Monday evenings.
