Music Centre Groups provide for students of all ages and standards, from beginner to grade 8 and above. Please see full timetable under Letters to Parents/Carers.
We aim to enable members to:
- Develop their musical creativity
- Discover new musical activities and future responsibilities
- Learn to lead, collaborate and be entrepreneurial
- Build technical proficiency in music
- Meet other like-minded musicians
Central opportunities are provided for: String, Brass, Wind, Percussion & Percussion. Every term there are a series of coordinated public concerts and performance opportunities.
We also organise Sefton-wide events, such as music for mayoral, civic and community events, such as the Mayors Concert, music for Remembrance Sunday at Five-Lamps, Crosby and Kings Gardens, Bootle and the annual Pentecost Festival on Hope Street in Liverpool.
